(Depends on the season).
If you’re looking for an amazing whale watching destination, whale watching in Panama should top your list. Panama one of the few places in the world with two whale watching seasons, July - October with several thousand whales from Antarctica and December - February with several hundred whales from Alaska.
The tour starts when we take a boat out from a port near Panama City in direction to Taboga Island looking for whales. Of course, there is never a total guarantee when looking for wildlife; however, it is very likely we will see the whales and dolphins which are commonly seen such as manta rays, sea turtles and maybe even whale sharks! You will spend several hours, ideally with the whales and dolphins, and then you stop at Taboga for lunch in one of the local seaside restaurants. You will also have time to take a quick, refreshing dip in the ocean before heading back to Panama city.
Recommendation: sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, comfortable clothes and shoes, camera.
